American History: Reconstruction?

How is the Reconstruction of the South similar or different from the cleanup after Hurricane Katrina, or the rebuilding of Iraq? What ideas or situations could we take from the Reconstruction period and apply to Louisiana and Iraq that would help the situation in these two places? Is there ever a problem too big to solve?

Modern World History Classes: Slavery?

Do you think that slavery was inevitable in the America's. With more and more settlement in the New World, could the Europeans have gone without slavery and still made money? What gave the Europeans the ability to enslave others like the Native Americans and the Africans? How would history have been different if slavery had never existed in the Americas?

Hello Liberty High School!

First a few rules and information about this blog. It is administered by Mr. Coffman, which means before any of your comments are posted they have to be approved. In order to post, you will need to identify yourself and sign in. If your comments appear under a post you will receive extra credit points in class for participation in the class. You may comment about other students comments as long as you are respectful and appropriate in tone and message.

The first thing I would like to ask everyone to comment about is the following question: What is the best thing about Liberty Schools? The reason for the question is that I am new to the district and I would like to hear what you think about the schools you are a part of.
